Show your parents that you love them.

"For One More Day is the story of a mother and a son, and a relationship that covers a lifetime and beyond. It explores the question: What would you do if you could spend one more day with a lost loved one?"

This book made me realize things. Let me share to you the thoughts which came up to me after reading this book.

Most of the time, we tend to take people for granted, especially our parents. We barely see the good things that they did for us. We'd rather keep the bad memories as compared to the exceptional acts that they did out of their love for us.

This book made me realize things. As much as we can, we must try to spend time with our loved ones. Our parents usually give us a long list of reminders and scolds us for the mistakes that we've done. We usually feel irritated by the fact that they keep on telling us things which we think we already know. Little did we know that they just want to protect and guide us for all the things which could harm us. They just wanted to show how much we are loved.

Try to show your parents how much you love them. No matter how old you are, the degree of love never changed. They are still the one whom you could count on no matter what. They never lose the love and concern that they have for you since you were born.

Working : A new phase of my life

"Once you start working, you'd probably miss studying in school."

Does this line sound familiar? I guess most of us have heard of this line from our parents and friends. Most of us would want to graduate right away due to the pile of school works given to us which makes us feel stressed out most of the time.

Right now that I have graduated college and started working, I could say that these two are much different from one another.

I consider working as the start of another chapter in my life. Let's just say that I've become more aware of what happens in real life when I went out of my comfort zone (which is school) and went out to the real world.

You'll meet a lot of people with different personalities. You won't be able to please everyone. The only solution that you have is to learn how to deal with the situation. This is where having a good interpersonal skills comes in. The better you interact with other people, the better you'll be at your work.

There are times that you feel that you don't have any idea on how to do the work given to you yet you have to try your best. There's nothing wrong in asking questions. Actually, it is much better to ask your seniors rather than doing it in your own way and ending up starting all over again. What's important is that you learn along the way and make sure that you would take note of the important things that you have to do. You can't trust yourself with things. There is a need to take down notes so that you are sure that you won't forget anything.

Working might be tiring yet exciting. Different things happen everyday. You feel stressed yet you feel happy once you've accomplished something. I am fortunate enough to be a part of a great working environment with a group of people whom I could approach and consult any time.

This is only the start of a great journey in my life.  I believe that there are more things which are yet to come.

I'll end this blog post by quoting Henry Ford, "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success."

Let Go and Press Forward.

Oftentimes, we keep on looking back at the things which bother us the most. It’s always hard for us to go on with our lives doing our best to walk along the way to success without the fear of failing. These things serve as hindrance towards the road of success. It’s hard to reach your goal if your heart is full of doubts, issues, or anything which makes you have a heavy feeling. Try to cleanse yourself and forget all the negativity. If you never learn to throw all those burdens, it would be hard for you to see the bright side of what’s waiting ahead of you. Try to focus on the things that you want to get instead of wasting your time thinking of the possibilities that you won’t be able to fulfill your dreams.

A big difference can start in the small things you make.

We always want to make a difference in this world. Usually, we focus too much on the difference that we want to make that we tend to forget that achieving big things won’t happen overnight. It’s a step by step process wherein you need to start with small things in order to fulfill the whole goal. It could be actually compared to a puzzle wherein every small piece is important to form a beautiful picture. We need to exert small efforts. Take it slowly. Every little thing that you do gives a great contribution in fulfilling your dream. Every small part makes a difference.

It's hard to choose between two things that you really wanted in your life.

Most of the time, you would do everything to keep both things in your life. You can't afford to lose the other. If possible, you'd try to keep them both no matter how hard and self-destructing it is. However, a point would come wherein you have to make a stand. You need to give your full attention to the other to be successful in it and lose grasp for the mean time on the other essential thing in your life. It's hard to sacrifice something for the sake of getting the other. However, that seems to be the only choice that you have in order to make things better. You have to loosen the hold that you give to the other in order to fully prioritize the other.

Honestly, I am having a hard time in choosing 'cos I want both in my life. It's very challenging for me to apply this but I guess I have to. :(

We have different ways of coping up with our problems.

Usually, most of us would find people whom we could talk to and ask for advice on what to do next. However, there are times that you wanted to be alone ‘cos you can’t think of anything. You are clueless of everything. You’re just not in the mood to talk with anyone. All you wanted is to be alone.

There are even times that all you wanted to do is to sleep. Why? Simply because that’s the solution you have to avoid thinking too much. However, sleeping is not easy all the time. A lot of things occupy your mind which avoids you to do so. That’s the time when you start to think over things again. You start reflecting of everything and you try to imagine all the things that you want to happen. Scenarios are being created. Emotions would come all over you. You could cry if you want to. It is not bad to burst all your emotions. Somehow, it could make you feel so much better.

Problems come and go. All of us have our own way of reacting to them. Just always remember that no matter what, you’d be able to surpass them.

I actually like people who would exert an effort to be there for you.

Who doesn't right?

People would talk to you and all. But not everyone would be willing to make you feel important. I never wanted to be treated like a queen. However, it feels good if someone would be willing to give you time and effort. It somehow makes you feel that you have a worth in this world.

It is not my dream to be the girl whom you would give everything. But I would certainly appreciate it if one day there would be a person who would try to do his best to make me happy. He may not give me everything I wanted. Knowing that he's exerting his best effort to make me feel that I am special and worthy of his attention would be enough for me to feel like I am the luckiest person in the world.
