Show your parents that you love them.

"For One More Day is the story of a mother and a son, and a relationship that covers a lifetime and beyond. It explores the question: What would you do if you could spend one more day with a lost loved one?"

This book made me realize things. Let me share to you the thoughts which came up to me after reading this book.

Most of the time, we tend to take people for granted, especially our parents. We barely see the good things that they did for us. We'd rather keep the bad memories as compared to the exceptional acts that they did out of their love for us.

This book made me realize things. As much as we can, we must try to spend time with our loved ones. Our parents usually give us a long list of reminders and scolds us for the mistakes that we've done. We usually feel irritated by the fact that they keep on telling us things which we think we already know. Little did we know that they just want to protect and guide us for all the things which could harm us. They just wanted to show how much we are loved.

Try to show your parents how much you love them. No matter how old you are, the degree of love never changed. They are still the one whom you could count on no matter what. They never lose the love and concern that they have for you since you were born.

Working : A new phase of my life

"Once you start working, you'd probably miss studying in school."

Does this line sound familiar? I guess most of us have heard of this line from our parents and friends. Most of us would want to graduate right away due to the pile of school works given to us which makes us feel stressed out most of the time.

Right now that I have graduated college and started working, I could say that these two are much different from one another.

I consider working as the start of another chapter in my life. Let's just say that I've become more aware of what happens in real life when I went out of my comfort zone (which is school) and went out to the real world.

You'll meet a lot of people with different personalities. You won't be able to please everyone. The only solution that you have is to learn how to deal with the situation. This is where having a good interpersonal skills comes in. The better you interact with other people, the better you'll be at your work.

There are times that you feel that you don't have any idea on how to do the work given to you yet you have to try your best. There's nothing wrong in asking questions. Actually, it is much better to ask your seniors rather than doing it in your own way and ending up starting all over again. What's important is that you learn along the way and make sure that you would take note of the important things that you have to do. You can't trust yourself with things. There is a need to take down notes so that you are sure that you won't forget anything.

Working might be tiring yet exciting. Different things happen everyday. You feel stressed yet you feel happy once you've accomplished something. I am fortunate enough to be a part of a great working environment with a group of people whom I could approach and consult any time.

This is only the start of a great journey in my life.  I believe that there are more things which are yet to come.

I'll end this blog post by quoting Henry Ford, "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success."
