People would say that we should always listen to our heart. According to them, as long as it makes you happy and your heart approves your decision, then go for it.
What if our heart is just fooling us?
There are times that we get confused on which to follow. We would even ask ourselves the question Am I going to listen to my mind which tells me the right thing? Or should I listen to my heart which makes me happy?
It’s quite hard when these two are trying to defend themselves against each other. Your mind tells you what to do but your heart never listens. However, it’s still a matter of choice. Eventhough we would want to stop the hurting, our heart seems to be a masochist which makes you do things that prolongs the suffering.
I guess one must have the strong urge to fight his heart. One of the greatest challenges in life is to ignore your heart and let your mind win.
Always remember that listening to your heart is not safe all the time. Use your mind. It might hurt at first but it would make the situation better in the end.

kunga ayaw mo masaktan, wag ka magmahal. di nangyayari ung puro happy-happy. ganon talaga kasama ang masaktan sa pagmamahal
ReplyDeleteYeah I know. But there are times that when your heart isn't that happy anymore and it is fulfilled with hurt and sufferings, better not to listen to it and rather listen to my brain and do what is right.
ReplyDeleteGot your point there. Love always comes with pain. So I guess it's up to the person on what he wants to do.
Btw, thanks for the insight :)
It's a matter of accepting what you have chosen to do. Yes, sometimes our heart makes us choose wrong decisions but remember, at times our mind also makes the wrong decision. Usually, we THINK if we FOLLOW OUR HEART, WE WILL GET HURT, so we TRY TO DO THE RIGHT THING by FOLLOWING OUR MIND/BRAIN. This is what the society, the tv drama, the songs and real life dramas have made us believe, I believe. However, in the end, the final decision is still ours to make. So if ever we make the right or wrong decision, what we must do is to just accept the consequences. There are time when we think we have done the right decision, but it hurts us more, so we ask ourselves, "did i do the right thing?"
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to add that sometimes we over-analyze things, as my friend says. We think more of the bad "what-ifs" more than the good "what-ifs" that leads to letting a good chance(in love or whatever) slip. So at times, let's not over-think/over-analyze/overdo things and just go with the flow. Do not let the worries overpower us. Kung nagmahal tayo at nasaktan, mahirap man gawin any tanggapin na lamang dahil mas masasaktan tayo nang lalo kung iiyakan lamang ang siang sawing pag-ibig.
Got your point there. Thank you :)
